Abstract :
A simple and ultra wide-band patch antenna with semicircular slot and coplanar waveguide is presented in this study. Proposed antenna consist of a three forth circular patch tapered from a micro strip. This antenna is etched on a FR-4 substrate with an overall size of 31mm × 32mm × 1.6mm. Simulated results of proposed antenna are showing that it is a good candidate of UWB antenna. The proposed antenna achieved good UWB impedance bandwidth(S11<;-10dB) ranges from 3.1 to 10.6 GHz. This antenna introduced good voltage standing wave ratio performance. The semicircular radiated slot and four coplanar different ground structure improves input impedance at 50Ω and high frequency radiation characteristics.
