Abstract
Realistic hair simulation is one of the most essential things for character designing. Existing hair simulated methods are not able to solve the contradiction among efficiency and performance. We propose a Lagrange equations-based hair simulation method to solve this problem. We first design the Lagrange function exactly, providing the accurate expression of energy and general force terms. Then we analyze the collision algorithm among hair and objects. Finally, we show our results of collision demonstration, dynamic hair simulation and time performance analysis. This method can generate the realistic hair simulation effects in an acceptable length of time.
