Abstract :
Distribution STATic synchronous COMpensators (DSTATCOMs) have been proved an effective approach to compensate reactive current in distribution network. With positive-sequence component, negative-sequence and zero-sequence component of unbalanced load current detected independently, selective reactive current compensation with individual phase control strategy can be realized. To improve the steady compensate performance without sacrificing its dynamic performance, fast repetitive controller based compound current control method for cascaded DSTATCOM compensating unbalanced load is proposed in this paper. DC-link voltage balancing control method is also introduced to maintain the balance of DC-link voltages of H-inverters. Finally, simulation and experimental results from H-bridge cascaded DSTATCOM verify the feasibility and efficiency of the proposed method.
