Application of the interoperability score in the smart grid domain

Within this paper, we highlight the need to properly assess interoperability between individual systems in the context of smart grid component integration. We present a motivation for standardisation to increase interoperability as well as extend this concept with a new metric based on the current state of the art. We present enhancement to the state of the art and present domain specific examples on the soundness of the approach as well as an outlook on the real world application in the SGAM toolbox.
