Abstract
Power generation from renewable sources is gaining importance due to increasing power demand and ill effects of non-renewable sources to environment. Solar is getting importance due to abundant availability and improvement in materials of PV systems. DC-DC Converters are used so as to achieve efficient power from solar panels. The power receiving from PV inverters is of low quality as it contains harmonics because of continuous switching operation in conversion from DC-AC. These harmonics need to be mitigated before interfacing this power at utility level. This paper discusses about the design of PV module, with performance and analysis of PV generated electricity. The power generated from solar is in DC form, it needs to be converted in AC using inverters. Proper control technique is required by which DC system could be interfaced with grid using PV inverters, with proper control algorithms at AC side. For improving the power quality, properly designed LCL Filters are used for mitigating harmonics and improving power quality at utility level. Same model has been implemented in MATLAB.
