  • Abstract
In this paper, a Pentagon Micro strip patch antenna using a Hybrid Coupler for multiband operations is designed and analyzed. The work is done for L-Band application, by exciting two orthogonal 90-degrees time phase difference in hybrid coupling to obtain a circular polarization. The proposed antenna design is able to operate at 1-2 GHz frequency. The design simulation is done by Method of Momentum using the Advance design system (ADS). The proposed antenna is designed using a substrate of RT-DUROID with dielectric constant=2.2 and substrate thickness (H) = 1.570mm. Hybrid coupled pentagon patch antenna having a gain of 6.25 dB, directivity of 6.30 dB. Power radiated by this antenna is 0.00016watts.
