Abstract :
The accurate pretreatment, solving and post-treatment of composite insulators were completed based on finite-element method ,and the distribution of the surface electric field intensity was drawn in this paper at first. And then,the factors that influence distribution of the surface field intensity were analyzed, and the radiuses of umbrella skirt were selected as optimization variables, and two objective function were defined as optimization objective to make the electric field more uniform. The umbrella skirt structure optimization design of the simplified model of composite insulator was completed using two modules the parametric analysis and single objective genetic algorithm. Finally, both of the optimization methods were used to evaluate the effect, and the conclusions were got. Parametric analysis was simple and its results were good. Some positive result was obtained by single objective genetic algorithm optimization, but it was limited.
