Abstract
Direct Torque Control has become a more and more important control technique in the control of Induction Motor for higher performance. The conventional two-level inverter has a problem of high torque ripple and large harmonics. For solving this problem, a model which is a combination of space vector modulation and a three-level inverter is proposed in this paper. On the platform of Matlab/Simulink, a 2-level DTC and a 3-level SVM-DTC are modeled and simulated. The simulation results show that 3-level DTC can reduce torque ripples and harmonics effectively.
