Abstract :
This paper presents performance rendering system based on interactive genetic Algorithms (IGA). The system aims to enable a user not only to create expressions in performance with musical rules, but also to enjoy the free rendering of the music based on his/her image of the music. Interactions between the user and the system which incorporates IGA can evolve music and its performance rendering through the stage of evaluating the genetic programs. The proposed system is intended to facilitate an enjoyment in creation and interpretation of music.
