Abstract
This paper focuses on the quantitative analysis of the saccharide content of sorghum stalk by using IR spectroscopy. Mid-infrared (MIR) and near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopic methods were applied referring to High performance liquid chromatographic method. In the MIR method, Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FTIR) was mainly used for basic experiments and the possibility of NIR method by using MEMS-FTIR is evaluated by using glucose, fructose and sucrose because of its small-size and cheap price. This paper also aims to find the suitable analytical model of NIR spectra with interval partial least-square (iPLS).
