Abstract
This paper proposes an algorithm for the capacity constrained management of Distributed Energy Resources in unbalanced distribution network. The algorithm is based on linear constraints being generated from a linear approximation of the functional relationship between control variables and constrained operational variables. To eliminate the incurred linearization error, the proposed algorithm is performed iteratively, allowing it to converge into the optimal dispatch of the controlled Distributed Energy Resources. The dispatch optimization is performed using linear programming and allows the use of a wide range of cost functions. The viability of the presented approach is demonstrated using a test network based on the IEEE 13-bus test system.
