Abstract :
Unlike the conventional and controllable generator, the uncertainty and intermittency of wind power involves significant technical challenges on power system operation. Due to the inaccurate forecast of wind power a robust look head active power dispatch which reschedules the units is important for the power system. In this paper, a novel robust active power dispatch model that uses wind power optimal interval to describe wind power uncertainty is proposed under the Chinese electricity market. In the proposed model, a worse-scenario robust model is built based on the bounded wind power and the special characteristics of Chinese electricity market such as the contract quantity of energy and the constraints of wind power curtailment. The study case that contains ten generators and a wind farm is used to test the robust dispatch model. The test results show that the robust dispatch model that are based on the robust optimization theory can deal with the wind power uncertainty under certain given optimal intervals.
