Abstract :
Due to the increasing demand of wireless services, mobile access technology has quickly progressed towards the fourth generation Long Term Evolution (LTE) networking paradigm. Hence, providing mobility support in such networks has been a long-standing challenge. Proxy mobile IPv6 (PMIPv6) is a network-based mobility management protocol within LTE, Route optimization (RO) problem in such environments is quite different from today´s mobility environments. In this paper, a novel route optimization solution for PMIPv6 over LTE networks based on signaling reduction approach, are proposed. According to the performance evaluation results, we demonstrate that our proposed scheme can accomplish the low latency route optimization as expected.
