Abstract :
Terahertz (THz) imaging has recently become an emerging technique in heritage science research field. THz pulse-echo imaging is particularly useful for layer structure observation of non-metallic objects such as gesso preparation layers of tempera panel paintings, mortar layers of fresco paintings as well as glued multiple paper layers of Japanese panel screens.
