Abstract :
The cognitive radio sensor networks are essential to reduce the battery energy usage and to maximize the life of the sensor networks. Hence in wireless sensor networks to improve the energy efficiency it is essential to analyze and optimize the power allocation and bandwidth utilization. Therefore the proposed system presents a scheduling heuristic called Power Re-distribution Algorithm (PRA) in which interleaving of tasks with different power consumption and processor idle times is carried out in such a way that all real-time task deadlines are met and system temperature is minimized. The cognitive radio techniques are integrated to offload the mobile traffic from mobile Base Stations (BSs) to Internet Service Providers (ISPs). The performance of proposed algorithm is investigated with different iterative solutions determined from the parameters (threshold level, primary and secondary users) and energy trading spectrum. Thus the proposed system will transmit the sensed data with bare minimum achievable power and as a result the sensor network life is maximized.
