Abstract :
In the proposed work, multiloop fractional order PID controller is auto tuned using Bee colony optimization for two interacting conical tank process. Control of interacting process is complicated due to the strong interactions. Multiloop PID controller tuning is a tedious and time consuming process. With the application of fractional calculus in the field of science and technology, an attempt is made to design a multiloop fractional order PID controller. The lengthy and difficult procedure of designing multiloop PID controller is more complicated in the design of multiloop fractional order PID controller. Swarm intelligence techniques are gaining popularity in the recent past to get global optimal solution in the field of control systems. Bee colony optimization, a swarm intelligence technique is applied in the present work for auto tuning purpose and validated under tracking and disturbance rejection cases.
