Abstract
The International Maritime Organization (IMO) adopted the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO)´s S-100 standard as a basic model of the Common Maritime Data Structure (CMDS) for e-navigation in order for the maritime information services to be able to effectively utilize a variety of data on both sea and land. In maritime-related fields therefore, many efforts apply the S-100 standard are ongoing. In the maritime information service systems, the data from each maritime-related field have to be displayed in the portrayal catalogue according to the S-100 product specification standard. To be able to offer display services, we need to confirm whether errors exist or not in feature catalogue and portrayal catalogue files that are produced on the basis of the S-100 standard, and we also need to verify whether the display forms we want are represented accurately or not. In this paper, we introduce our designed and implemented feature portrayal viewer module that can confirm and verify the display forms for each feature from the feature and portrayal catalogues´ files produced on the basis of the S-100 standard.
