Abstract :
Internet of Things(IoT) refers to a network of all physical objects which are interconnected via internet and the communication that takes place between them. It helps in transfer of large amount of data between devices without human intervention. These data has to be stored, processed and reused in an efficient way. Security associated with these data are also of paramount importance. Mainframe systems, provides an ideal platform for overcoming these challenges. The immediate objective of this research paper is to provide a lime light over the prototype that is developed combining the two aforementioned technologies. Here features of IoT and Mainframe computers are integrated to come up with a powerful tool, which can handle large amount sensor data of IoT applications and providing graphical analytics of the same in CICS. It also incorporates the feature of controlling devices through mainframe systems. The system also provides a facility to interact with an application on a different Operating System and also keep a track of live data feeds.
