Abstract :
A novel five level three-phase inverter topology, based on the development of a computing model to pre-calculate the switching angles, is being proposed. The main advantage of this topology is the overall reduction in the number of power electronic switches, reduction in pre-calculated switching angles and reduction in the total harmonics distortion in the output voltage. Applications of this topology include dynamic hybrid battery/inverter and Photovoltaic/inverter systems to improve overall system operation and performance and at the same time improve output voltage and power generation quality. The proposed topology has been modeled and validated using Matlab software.
