Foreword

This volume contains the proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Software Engineering and Applications (ICSOFT-EA 2014), which is sponsored by the Institute for Systems and Technologies of Information, Control and Communication (INSTICC) and co-organized by Austrian Computer Society and Vienna University of Technology - TU Wien (TUW). ICSOFT 2014 is held in cooperation with the IEICE Special Interest Group on Software Interprise Modelling (SWIM) and technically co-sponsored by IEEE Computer Society and IEEE Computer Society´s Technical Council on Software Engineering (TCSE).
