Abstract :
Gas-liquid annular flow with thin thickness often occurs in industry scenario and can be generated in laboratory for research. Imaging of gas-liquid annular flow can derive the thickness of the annular flow, further more calculate the gas liquid ratio, as well as help monitor the status of the gas-liquid annular flow in the process. In this paper, an electrical capacitance tomography (ECT) based method for imaging of gas-liquid annular flow is introduced, which focuses on image reconstruction and estimation of annulus thickness with high-contrast dielectric. The cross-section image is reconstructed from the compensated capacitances of an ECT sensor and is used to estimate the liquid film thickness.
