Abstract :
Considering the requirement of tracking the realtime production process and operation data such as the execution information, the quality of parts, the states of machines etc., a solution which applying the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and two-dimension Code into smart data collection system integrated with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) was presented. This paper introduces the smart data collection system for improving the workshop management level in the perspective of illustrating the software design and implementation. The first contribution from this paper is a framework of smart data collection system is proposed, which is generic and helpful for MES construction. The second is the agent and interface middleware is reported to enable the real-time intercommunication with other models. Thirdly, a real-life application case describes how the system to enhance a workshop management, which can be referenced by other companies when initiate and implement the RFID solutions to improve their manufacturing ability and production efficiency.
