Abstract :
The main purpose of this paper is to explore the influence of Long-Term Evolution (LTE) system (as interfering) on the Digital Video Broadcasting-Terrestrial (DVB-T) system (as victim) at different coexistence scenarios. Three coexistence scenarios are considered, namely: non-overlapping (adjacent channel with no guard band), partial overlapping and full overlapping RF spectrum. To measure the interaction between the LTE RF signal (with various bandwidths and RF power levels) on the DVB-T RF signal, a laboratory measurement testbed is used. Dependences of bit and modulation error ratios (BER and MER) on the signal density ratio (SDR) are used to evaluate the influence of the LTE uplink mobile services on the DVB-T digital TV services. Experimental results show that the DVB-T performance is differently depending on the considered coexistence scenario.
