Abstract :
The MSP430 x5xx Families is ultra-low power micro-controller from Texas Instruments Company, which is used for good energy properties in many fields. This microcontroller could be used everywhere, where it is needed a big life-time of battery, for example sensor networks. It may be necessary in these networks and also in other fields to provide some level of security. The random numbers is the basic for most of the cryptographic systems, which are used to provide the required security level. The Texas Instruments company shows possibilities for generating random number on their own microcontroller, which may be used for these cryptographic methods. Some analysis for this random number generator, which may confirm the security for real problematic or showing some more properties of this generator, is missing. The complete analysis of this generator and also strong and weak properties is provide in this article.
