Collaboration system integrating audio, video and text communication in INDECT project

This paper deals with interactive multimedia collaboration system which was designed and developed within INDECT project. The INDECT is a 7^th FP EU project and its aim is to develop solutions and tools for automatic threat detection enhancing the safety of EU citizens. The paper discusses the Interactive Audio Video System - IVAS, which is the core component of the whole INDECT project, and describes the properties of the developed collaboration system supporting audio, video, pictures and text transmission. Results of the applied research and experimental development were practically-proven by Czech and Polish police.
