Abstract
We have studied the water treatment by spraying into a pulsed discharge space in air, to decompose refractory organic compounds included in industrial waste water. In practical application, a large quantity of water must be treated. Hence, the enlarged reactor and pulsed power generator were made and were compared to previous equipment to confirm effect of enlargement of equipment. The enlarged reactor has 7 coaxial electrodes generating the pulsed streamer discharge. The energy supplied to the reactor is 78 W which is 8.7 times higher than previous one. Indigo carmine solution was treated by this reactor. The result showed that both of treatment velocity and energy yield increased by the enlargement of the reactor and the pulsed power generator.
