Abstract
This paper proposed a novel disc-cone-shaped antenna (NDA) used in a radiating high-power wideband system. The NDA is a kind of wideband biconical antennas and has a number of advantages such as structural simpleness, compactness and efficiency. In the test, when the the NDA was rapidly charged to about 300kV by a Marx generator, it shew an ultra wide-band gain of 0.65. The radiated electric fields had a peak value of 39 kV/m at a distance of 5m and a center frequency of 300MHz. The corresponding peak power of the NDA could reach to 475MW, while the total radiated energy was about 1.12J. It´s simulationally and experimentally proved that both the far voltage and working performance were significantly increased.
