  • Abstract
    A compact tri-band metamaterial antenna is presented. The antenna is based on dual composite right/left handed transmission line (D-CRLH TL) which employs metamaterial loading on a conventional monopole to attain a certain degree of miniaturization. The over size of the antenna is 20 × 16 × 1.6 mm3. The simulated return loss shows that the proposed antenna is suitable for WLAN 2.4/5.5 and WiMAX bands.
