Abstract :
Different models of the human middle ear that may help to assess its condition before and after tympanoplasty are considered. In particular, a curved membrane is considered as a model of the eardrum. Separately, the Shrapnel´s membrane and its role in the reduction of the eardrum are analyzed. As a model for the whole of the middle ear, a model based on electroacoustic analogies is selected. It made possible to obtain quantitative indicators of the human auditory system: the norm of the middle ear and the gain coefficient of the sound pressure made by auditory ossicles, and give recommendations on tympanoplasty materials selection and evaluating the success of its implementation.
