Abstract :
It is difficult to obtain an optimum solutions in antenna design with the use of genetic algorithm (GA) when small size meshes are applied to. To address the issue, this paper proposes a novel antenna design method which adds fractal concept to GA. In the paper, a wide-band antenna is designed using the proposed method, and its analytical characteristics are shown with measured results.
