Abstract
This paper presents a method for calculating the voltage across a claw pole alternator used cars. Specific geometry claw poles, does not admit symmetries in the plane parallel sections along the axis Oz and 3D-FEM requires a numerical model to calculate the magnetic field. Load operation of the generator is studied by solving a magnetic field, coupled with the magnetic circuit in transient regime. Calculation of induced voltage in the winding is made with FEM based solutions obtained by solving field problems defined for successive rotor position using magnetic scalar potential formulation in double. The voltage induced magnetization calculated believes feature three-phase rectifier bridge and nonlinear. Validation of the numerical model of measured results is helpful in designing optimal altermatorului claw pole.
