The study of financial efficiency of new material industry in China based on DEA method

New material industry is one of the seven strategic emerging industries, which push the development of other strategic emerging industries. Researches about new material industry are growing. Based on the DEA method, the paper conducted an empirical study of the financing efficiency of 68 listed new material enterprises, with the panel data from 2011 to 2013. The main empirical results demonstrate that financial efficiency of the new material industry has declined from 2011 to 2013. Problems on development of the new material industry have also been found; the causes of the problems have been analyzed.
