Abstract
The Internet of Things (IoT) represents the next significant step in the evolution of the Internet and software development. In this paper we will take a look at the emerging common end-to-end architecture for the IoT domain. We will then dive into research topics and issues that deserve further investigation above and beyond those topics that receive most attention in the industry today. The main goal of this paper is to define a research agenda focusing on topics that we believe will take the forefront once the current wave of emerging IoT platforms reaches maturity.
