Abstract
In the transportation of goods and people, human behaviour is a major risk factor. This study aim to project a technological and methodological approach to enhance safety in different transport modes, because we set the human factor as the center of a complex transport system. A system of systems engineering approach was developed where the main system components relate to the driver, the truck and the external environment conditions. Mainly we observed a correlation between heart rate variability and use of steering wheel. The methodology which was adopted to monitor the whole system and preliminary results are illustrated.
