  • Abstract
This paper deals with the development of a new method of wave diagnostics of the spectral properties of the electromagnetic radiation sources in the near-Earth and solar wind plasmas. The method is based on the theory of resonant response of a receiving antenna in plasma. This theory allows one to calculate the voltage induced on the antenna by an incident wave. This study is focused on the case of excitation and reception of quasi-electrostatic waves under the resonant conditions (for example, in the whistler frequency range) where it is important to take account of such plasma effects as dispersion and non-equilibrium that significantly change the receiving antenna characteristics in comparison with vacuum.
