Abstract :
In this paper, a novel ultra-wideband (UWB) bandpass filter (BPF) with a narrow notched band is proposed. The proposed notch-band UWB BPF consists of two symmetric multiple-mode resonators (MMRs) and four defected ground structures. The design of the proposed notch-band UWB BPF is confirmed by simulation with a full wave electromagnetic simulator. The passband of the implemented filter covers the range of 2.8-11GHz, and the insertion loss of the notched band within the UWB passband is 15.65 dB at 5.7 GHz.
