Abstract :
In this paper a novel flexible and compact Ultra Wide Band is presented. The proposed antenna is made using a 0.1 mm thick flexible substrate with size 75 × 18 mm2. The proposed antenna can serve as a wearable human hand-band for UWB applications. The almost typical radiation pattern with moderate gain is preserved over the operating bandwidth. The design principles of the proposed antenna along with the full wave simulations and experimental measurements are presented. Good agreement between simulated and measured results is achieved.
