  • Abstract
Thin and versatile metamaterial absorbers have been employed for many applications from microwave to optical frequencies. Typical metamaterial characteristics are extremely sensitive to variations of the incident-angle and polarization. Previously, split-ring resonator (SRR) element metasurfaces and absorbers were shown with improved incident-angle-independent characteristics for vertical polarization only. In this paper, further improved absorber performances are presented for the geometrically symmetric fractal element.
