Abstract :
A ray-tracing based FDTD Meshing algorithm, combined with SIMD technique is propose for FDTD simulation of aircraft platform in this paper. During the implementation of such technique, the original ray-tracing formulation is changed into the vector operation form. The proposed algorithm is then applied for constructing the FDTD mesh for an aircraft model. It is shown that such new SIMD can achieve high acceleration ratio up to 40%, and with its implementation, the electrical field distribution on the surface of an aircraft platform is predicted accurately.
