Abstract :
A novel compact design utilizing a simple H-shaped microstrip section to reduce the mutual coupling between a dual-frequency patch antenna array is proposed in this paper. The H-section can be easily fabricated together with the printed patches without any extra cost. The simulated results show that the mutual coupling between array elements has a reduction of 9.3 dB and 17.1 dB at the two operating frequencies. Details of the antenna design and results are presented and discussed.
