  • Abstract
A compact CPW-Fed CRLH metamaterial antenna is designed and developed in this paper. The design is based on a symmetric single layer CPW-Fed structure in which signal patch is connected to the CPW ground planes by introducing a strip. Proposed antenna shows two modes at 1.70 GHz and 5.30 GHz respectively. In addition to that this antenna offers excellent dipolar and omnidirectional radiation pattern in xz- and yz- planes respectively in both modes. Owing to the characteristics such as good radiation characteristics, compactness, and ease of fabrication makes this antenna suitable for modern wireless applications such as WLAN/ Wi-Fi applications.
