Abstract :
The Intel® Xeon Phi™ Coprocessor with Intel Many Integrated Core Architecture (MIC) is a powerful accelerator [1]. In this letter, the Method of Moment (MoM) problems for electromagnetic simulation have been accelerated by MIC. The acceleration of solving matrix equation using LU decomposition is accelerated by MIC. A new framework was designed to break the memory limitation of MIC, which realized the function of asynchronous communication between CPU and MIC. The analysis of that the PCI-E transmission speed and the shape of matrix impact on performance has been performed. At last, a noticeable speedup is achieved with the new framework and optimal parameter.
