Abstract
This paper presents a hexagonal microstrip fractal patch antenna for operation at 3.94 GHz (3.86-3.98 GHz), 6.46 GHz (6.36-6.55 GHz), 13.04 GHz (12.84-13.27 GHz) and 14.16 GHz (13.94-14-39 GHz) with corresponding reflection coefficients (in dB); -24.69, -17.64, -30.47 and 19.95. This makes it suitable for operation in fixed satellite (space to Earth and Earth to space), radio navigation, Earth exploration satellite, radiolocation, mobile (except aeronautical mobile), space research etc. The structure has been simulated using Ansys HFSS and the results have been verified using measured data.
