Abstract :
To address part of the requirements of the emerging technologies such as multiradio communication, wireless sensor networking, and real-time imaging, miniaturized multi-band devices have been realized using different techniques including metamaterial structures and reconfigurable antennas. In the designing stage, an optimization procedure which invokes a simulation tool to model the structure is used. Therefore, speed, computational burden, and accuracy of the simulation tool become a critical issue. Equivalence principle algorithm (EPA) provides a level of parallelization of the solution, flexibility for selecting the mesh strategy, and its reuse. Hence, it can be a good candidate to address these challenging problems.
