  • Abstract
This paper is concerned with an estimation of a moving target position by using ISDB-T signal which is used for terrestrial digital broadcasting in Japan. The ISDB-T signal is modulated by OFDM, and signal delays caused by multipath environments are extracted. We have found that the signal delays are measured when aircraft pass in front of a directional antenna. Based on the positioning principle of passive bistatic radar, we can estimate the moving target position. In this paper, we firstly describe the characteristics of ISDB-T and secondly show the principle of passive bistatic positioning. Next, we show experimental results obtained by ISDB-T signals which are emitted by a tower named “TOKYO SKYTREE”. Finally, we discuss the technical possibilities using ISDB-T delay signals.
