Abstract
In this paper, a novel ethanol chemical sensor using a microfluidic metamaterial absorber is proposed. The proposed sensor comprises a periodic array of split-ring-cross resonators (SRCRs) and microfluidic channels. Injecting different concentration of ethanol (0 to 100%) to a microfluidic channel can change the resonance frequency of the proposed sensor 10.42 to 11.46 GHz.
