Abstract :
A compact multiband internal dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) for mobile applications is presented, covering GSM/DCS/PCS/UMTS/LTE bands (880-960 and 1700-2700 MHz ). The antenna used a multi-branch monopole to stimulate a rectangular dielectric of high dielectric constant with a rectangular groove on its surface, thereby achieving not only reduced antenna size but also improved bandwidth. The overall size of the antenna is only 0 0.075λ0 × 0 0.045λ0 × 0 0.012λ0 at 900MHz. This communication covers the details of the antenna design and simulation.
