Abstract
A circularly-polarized antennas using an L-shaped metamaterial-inspired pseudo-traveling wave resonator is proposed. It is composed of a phase-nonreciprocal composite right/left handed (CRLH) microstrip line including a normally magnetized ferrite rod in the substrate. The antenna can be made small compared to circularly-polarized antenna using a ring-shaped pseudo-traveling wave resonator. From the numerical simulation, rotation direction of circular polarization is switched by changing the direction of the applied dc magnetic field.
