Abstract
The design of a conformal subwavelength (λ/5) Fabry-Pérot antenna using an artificial magnetic conductor layer as a Partially Reflective Surface (PRS) layer is presented. The cylindrical ground plane of a conformed patch antenna and a cylindrical arrangement of partially reflective AMC are used as two reflectors for the conformed resonant cavity. Using a cylindrical cavity form, a wide sectoral pattern (126°) with high gain is thus obtained in the WiMax band (5.47- 5.725) GHz.
