Abstract :
A miniaturized differential dual-band antenna is presented. The dual-band operation is achieved by a square ring and a pair of fork-shaped strips. To improve the bandwidth of antenna, the packaging technique is introduced. The antenna has a compact size of 18mm×18mm. Simulated results show that the antenna can operate at 2.4 and 5.2 GHz for wireless local area network (WLAN), and the impedance bandwidths of two bands are 10.2% and 14.3%, respectively. Also, good radiation performances have been achieved at two bands.
